About WikiDress

WikiDress keeps a list of women's dresses sold at the store, from casual summer styles and work dresses to cocktail, wedding guest and formal gowns. Each dress is shown with the facts its seller wrote and a price stamped with the time we read it.

What is copied and what is not

The occasion, the length, the sleeve, the shape and the print are taken from the words in the seller's title. When a title does not name one of them, the cell stays empty here, and we do not take it from a neighbouring color or size. Fabric blends and size charts belong to the listing, and we do not rewrite them.

None of these has been tried on

We have not worn, steamed or danced in any of these dresses. So the site has no verdict on drape, no claim that a dress flatters and no ranking by how well it holds up. Whether a cut works for you and for a given dress code is a matter for the size chart, owners' photos and the host's invitation.

Prices keep their reading time

An amount next to a dress comes from the store and is printed with the moment we read it. A reading that has grown too old is taken down instead of left up as if it were current, and the store's page is where the price is settled.

Guides and Learn

The guides compare dresses on stated details and price alone. The Learn articles explain words such as A-line, empire waist and lining with help from fiber and textile bodies' pages, and the front page says how many dresses we list.
